The Fellowship is pleased to present our discussion of what might have happened if National Comics Publications (later DC Comics) had bought out Timely Comics (later Marvel Comics) back in the 1940s. This led to a wild conversation spanning several decades of alternate history, including our standard strange behavior, as well as our usual picks of the week.

What we're up to this week:

Finished Hellboy Omnibus 1, started Black Magick v2, no more Doctor Who

Stowaway to the Stars (Byrne)

North Texas Comic Book Show - good show

The Culling on Twitch - what a story :-)

Check out our sponsor page! Head to the website and click on the banners for Things From Another World! (Click through the TFAW banner on our site and we get a cut. Thank you!)

A fun what-if scenario, even if one of us managed to take it dark :-)

And let us know what you think about these ideas - we'd love to hear your feedback!

Picks for the week of 8/1:

Eclipse #9 (Image)

Midnight Tiger: Stronger #1 (Action Lab) [Note: we learned after recording that this title will only be available on ComiXology for now. Still should be a good one, though :-) -m]

The Ghost Script: A Graphic Novel (Liveright)

Leviathan #1 (Image)

Paradise Court #1 (Zenescope)

The Moon Maid #1 (American Mythology)

Adventures of the Super-Sons #1 (DC)

J. Scott Campbell's Danger Girl Gallery Edition HC (IDW)

Honorable Mention: Marvel Epic Collection: Fantastic Four volume 3 (Marvel)

Shoutouts:

Manny the Martyr - thanks for letting us use your music; check them out by clicking the link

#PodernFamily - an awesome group of indie podcasters supporting each other; find a podcast on literally anything by searching the hashtag

The Fellowship is pleased to present our discussion of the rogue's gallery, both the concept itself and naming some of our favorites. It has been argued that a hero is defined by their villains, and dang it, there are some really cool bad guys out there. Plenty of our usual silliness this week, and as always, our picks of the week.

What we're up to this week:

Doctor Who on Twitch - #5 is good, but his companions are annoying, #6 gets a bad rap, suffered from terrible writing

Also Hellboy Omnibus volume 1 - greatness

Secret project reading - soon ;-)

The House With a Clock In Its Walls - the book is really good, the movie comes out soon

Jigsaw (not thrilled), The Doobie Brothers: Let The Music Play (enjoyable), Robin Williams: Come Inside My Mind (good but bittersweet) [Note: a bit of a sound glitch in here. Sorry. -m]

Check out our sponsor page! Head to the website and click on the banners for Things From Another World! (Click through the TFAW banner on our site and we get a cut. Thank you!)

So many villains - it feels like we only scratched the surface :-)

Picks for the week of 7/25:

Beach Blanket Bad Guys Special (DC)

Britannia: Lost Eagles of Rome #1 (Valiant)

Eden #1 (Alterna)

Midway: The Battle That Changed The Pacific War GN (Monroe Publications)

Bone Parish #1 (BOOM! Studios)

Zombie Tramp #50 (Action Lab Danger Zone)

Zorro: Swords of Hell #1 (American Mythology)

Doom Patrol: The Silver Age volume 1 (DC)

Honorable Mention: Real Science Adventures: The Nicodemus Job #1 (IDW)

Shoutouts:

Farewell to Steve Ditko, legendary comics creator, and best wishes to his family and friends

Manny the Martyr - thanks for letting us use your music; check them out by clicking the link

The Fellowship regrets to inform you that we will not be posting a new episode this week. A "perfect storm" of minor issues has made it impossible for us to record, but we will return next week with another exciting installment. Thank you for listening and subscribing to our weirdness; we very much appreciate your support. And keep reading here and now, because we still have our picks of the week for you. :-)

The Fellowship is pleased to present our presentation of ideas for crossovers between comic book characters and other, non-comic folks from (mostly) TV shows. Sort of in the vein of DC's recent crossovers with Hanna-Barbera characters, only with our signature flair (combining our particular tastes in these things, which comes across as weird at times). And as always, our picks of the week.

What we're up to this week:

Doctor Who on Twitch - Baker is just so different as the Doctor

Also secret projects ;-)

Void Trip trade, Twilight trade (not that one)

Sitcomics books - very cool stuff; check them out at sitcomics.net

Check out our sponsor page! Head to the website and click on the banners for Things From Another World! (Click through the TFAW banner on our site and we get a cut. Thank you!)

Once we stopped ripping and started riffing, much fun was had by all :-)

Picks for the week of 7/11:

Relay #1 (Aftershock)

Little Girl #1 (Devils Due Publishing)

Twelve Devils Dancing #1 (Action Lab Danger Zone)

Xena #6 (Dynamite)

She Could Fly #1 (Dark Horse/Berger Books)

The Thrilling Adventure Hour: A Spirited Romance trade (BOOM! Studios)

Farmhand #1 (Image)

Memoirs of a Very Stable Genius (Image)

Honorable Mention: Doctor Who The Road to the Thirteenth Doctor: The Tenth Doctor Special (Titan)

Shoutouts:

Farewell to Harlan Ellison, science fiction champion and mentor to so many

Manny the Martyr - thanks for letting us use your music; check them out by clicking the link

The Fellowship is pleased to present our discussion of the current state of the comics industry. We start with a couple of news bites from recent weeks, and off we go down the rabbit hole of the comics world. We have opinions, not surprisingly, and a snarky good time was had by all (even in the blooper after the credits). And as always, our picks of the week.

What we're up to this week:

2000AD Sci-Fi Special (2000AD) & Rivers of London: Water Weed (Titan)

80 Years of Superman, pre-Wedding stuff, and other IRL bidness

The Greatest Adventure (Dynamite) - collection of the recent crossover story of all of the creations of Edgar Rice Burroughs

Doctor Who on Twitch - enjoyed re-watching the 3rd, getting into the 4th

Check out our sponsor page! Head to the website and click on the banners for Things From Another World! (Click through the TFAW banner on our site and we get a cut. Thank you!)

Link to the article about the Walmart exclusive comics

And apologies to Walmart for the beating we kind of gave them this week - we're still cool with the sponsorship idea if you are, Walmart ;-)

[Non Compete Agreement, not Non Disclosure Agreement. -m]
