The Fellowship is pleased to present our presentation of ideas for crossovers between comic book characters and other, non-comic folks from (mostly) TV shows. Sort of in the vein of DC's recent crossovers with Hanna-Barbera characters, only with our signature flair (combining our particular tastes in these things, which comes across as weird at times). And as always, our picks of the week.
What we're up to this week:
Doctor Who on Twitch - Baker is just so different as the Doctor
Also secret projects ;-)
Void Trip trade, Twilight trade (not that one)

The Fellowship is pleased to present our discussion of the current state of the comics industry. We start with a couple of news bites from recent weeks, and off we go down the rabbit hole of the comics world. We have opinions, not surprisingly, and a snarky good time was had by all (even in the blooper after the credits). And as always, our picks of the week.

The Fellowship is pleased to present our discussion of weddings in comics, specifically the two coming out of the Big 2 this summer. Kitty and Colossus, Catwoman and Batman, and you know we're not going to get out of this without some historical ones as well. Plenty of opportunity for our usual silliness, of course. And as always, our picks of the week.
What we're up to this week:
Documentaries - Bombshell (Hedy Lamarr) & Now More Than Ever (Chicago - the band, that is); highly recommend both, and they're on Netflix
Jerry & The Joker (awesome memoir from Jerry Robinson, creator of the Joker), The Complete Cosmo the Merry Martian (from Archie Comics back in the day), The Red Hook (Dean Haspiel, interesting story premise)

The Fellowship is pleased to present our quarterly crowdfunding focus. We've got a bunch of awesome Kickstarter comics to share with you this time around. Go check them out (they're all linked below), and see what else you can find there too. Plus our normal abnormality. And as always, our picks of the week.
What we're up to this week:
Doctor Who streaming on Twitch - nostalgic, and cool sci-fi, but the stories are weaker than I hoped
Prelude to the Wedding one-shots - entertaining, especially the Ra's al Ghul/Damian one
Attended a festival for short films at the Texas Theatre - some good films, entertaining overall
Sgt Preston of the Yukon - TV show from the '50s; not a good show, but credit to the network for showing something that wasn't a "classic"
(And a bit of a tangent on old TV shows)
Check out our sponsor page! Head to the website and click on the banners for Things From Another World! (Click through the TFAW banner on our site and we get a cut. Thank you!)

[Note: the weird hum was still an issue this week. Still no idea what the problem is; Liz can't hear anything on her end, but it only happens when she's talking (well, mostly). Also, it seems that my mic was feeling a bit sensitive too, as it picked up some of my breathing. Again, sorry for what I can't edit out. -m]

The Fellowship is pleased to present our discussion on aging in comics. It's strange how some characters seem to age (Dick Grayson, for example) while others don't (Bruce Wayne, am I right?). How important is it? Does it matter at all? Opinions and silliness run free here, not surprisingly. And as always, our picks of the week.
What we're up to this week:
Fear & Loathing, The Black Monday Murders volume 2, started Mythic
Also watched Demon with the Atomic Brain (Christopher Mihm film)
Forgetting what we ordered from the Previews catalog…
The Wormworld Saga - nice little story
[Tangent about how one reads comics; we may have to revisit this one later :-)]
Screening of The Producers (1968) [And the obligatory Mel Brooks tangent - we're all huge fans, obviously]
Star Lord: Guardian of the Galaxy trade
Check out our sponsor page! Head to the website and click on the banners for Things From Another World! (Click through the TFAW banner on our site and we get a cut. Thank you!)
[Note: there was something a little wonky with Liz's Skype connection. She was getting an occasional background static that was quite overpowering at times. I cut out what I could, and we apologize for what's still there. -m]

The Fellowship is pleased to present our discussion of the "DC Implosion" on its 40th anniversary. One of DC's darkest hours, back in the 1970s the company tried to snatch market share back from Marvel, and it chose the wrong time to act, as we discuss. We talk about some fascinating implications, and make a snarky joke or two. And as always, our picks of the week.
What we're up to this week:
Trade pile - Norman, I Hate Fairyland, Postal (my pile is a bit dark)
Family time - most of them don't do comics, but there's a nephew who gets it
Found a comic sale and had a blast
Not much other than planning some future episodes :-)
(here's the link mentioned about the FF thing from the '60s)

The Fellowship is pleased to present another Casting Call - this time for the Tim Burton Batman "franchise." We're casting 1990-ish stars for some potential Batman allies and villains. We have a lot of fun with these, and sometimes we get a little creative with it here. Plus our usual odd behavior, of course. And as always, our picks of the week.

Catching up on Knights of the Dinner Table, and watched Weresquito: Nazi Hunter
Batman: White Knight - two thumbs up
Bought a whole bunch of "dollar bin" comics, haven't gotten through them all yet

The Fellowship is pleased to present our discussion of comics properties we'd like to see in the theaters or on the small screen. There are a ton of movies and shows out there now, but these are (some of) the ones we'd make if we were talented. Our normal levels of silliness apply. And as always, our picks of the week.

The Fellowship is pleased to present our discussion of comics titles that we would recommend to new or lapsed readers. The idea here is not to just list our favorite titles - we're trying to find titles that will draw in folks who don't normally go for comics. We even talk a bit about how that works, and we get a little off track at one point (shocking, right?). And as always, our picks of the week.
What we're up to this week:
The films of Christopher Mihm (at least some of them) are now available on Amazon Prime Video - very entertaining and weird
Free Comic Book Day was a blast; also praise for the Hit-Girl series
Shock Rockets - cool series from a few years back
More FCBD love, in terms of the free comics themselves; also a book called Funny Face!: An Amusing History of Potato Heads, Block Heads, and Magic Whiskers
And the "get off my lawn" tangent of the week :-)
Check out our sponsor page! Head to the website and click on the banners for Things From Another World! (Click through the TFAW banner on our site and we get a cut. Thank you!)
We hope you find some comics here in our list that can help people get into the wonderful world of comics :-)

The Fellowship is pleased to present our discussion of 10 years of Marvel movies. The Infinity War is now upon us, and we're taking a look back at how we got here. A bunch of past, a little bit of present, and a smidgen of possible future. Plus some compare and contrast with that other "cinematic universe." And as always, our picks of the week.
What we're up to this week:
Aliens: Dust to Dust #1 and Jeepers Creepers #1 - new books last week that were awesome
Les' Big Bag o' Nothing® - out of pocket, not much time for fun stuff
Saw a certain new movie - no spoilers, because spoilers SUCK!
Also Rick & Morty comics - quick, easy read, very entertaining
