The Fellowship is pleased to present our reminiscences about the career of Bernie Wrightson, who was taken from us this week by brain cancer. He had a marvelous career as an artist who could transcend genre, and he was also respected and loved by his fellow creators. And as always, our picks of the week.

What we're up to this week:

Catching up on Knights of the Dinner Table (I got behind)

Found some recent Heavy Metal mags with a Donny Cates story in them

Also found a movie called All Stars (2014) about youth sports - ah, memories

Finally saw Star Trek Beyond - an okay movie with some problems

Also Robert Osborne tribute on TCM - his interviews were something that our humble show can only aspire to

Check out our sponsor page! Head to the website and click on the banners for Things From Another World and Make Mine Indie! (Click through the TFAW banner on our site and we get a cut. And check out tons of great indie comics in the MMIndie catalog. And thank you!)

Our condolences and best wishes for Bernie's family and friends. And thank you, Bernie, for the beautiful art you gave all of us.

The Fellowship is pleased to present our reminiscences about the Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV series, which premiered 20 years ago this week. It ran for seven seasons, spawned a five-year spinoff, and put both supernatural horror and teen drama on the map. We also talk about the 1992 movie a bit, and share some favorite moments from the show. And as always, our picks of the week.

What we're up to this week:

Bought IDW's Humble Bundle - a ton of comics with the proceeds going to charity [in this case, split between Traveling Stories and the CBLDF. -m]

Playing Heroclix and having a great time

Catching up on reading - digging Superman Reborn

And introduced some new readers to Valiant's Faith title in the hopes of maybe catching the kid too

The Fellowship is pleased to present our conversation with Peter Simeti, publisher at Alterna Comics and the Make Mine Indie catalog. Make Mine Indie releases their Spring catalog on March 20, and Alterna is in the process of bringing back newsprint comics later this year. Peter also gives us some great insight on the publishing game. And as always, our picks of the week.

What we're up to this week:

The Young Ones - BBC comedy from the 1980s; perfect madness and fun

Les took Thomas to this month's AGFA film at the local Alamo Drafthouse - much fun was had by all, even though they had to watch Sweet Sugar

[I had to leave the truck zooming by, mainly because of our reaction to it. I hope it doesn't make us look too unprofessional, but hey, we're not professionals :-) -m]
