The Fellowship is pleased to present our discussion of the impact of the DC Rebirth event after five years. We tend to have mixed feelings around here about the big comics events, and it was interesting comparing this one to others. Plus our usual tangents galore and our comics picks of the week.

Announcements:
We found a way to do our monthly meetups - on Discord! Come hang out with us in the voice channel on the 3rd Saturday of the month; details on Facebook & Twitter & the Events tab on our website
We're super excited to announce our partnership with ComicBooks For Kids. Details on the website (and you should be listening to hear more, too 🙂)

What we're up to this week:
Discord meetup last Saturday, rewatching Buffy, Bubba Ho-Tep, a little more Substack talk, the pitfalls of Twitter (including Gail Simone), games in a pandemic (specifically Munchkin), Tear The Roof Off (documentary on Parliament Funkadelic), rewatched Phantom of the Paradise, Linda Ronstadt: The Sound of My Voice documentary

Also, sorry about all of the "cute" stuff - it started before the recording, and you know how we are with our running gags😉

Check out our sponsor page! Head to the website and click on the banners for Things From Another World! (Click through the TFAW banner on our site and we get a cut. Thank you!)

We added our picks to the website as their own page! It's an easy reference for you to find some cool stuff to read (especially in social distancing mode). So go check it out, and hit the site as you need or want 🙂

And we're doing something new on Discord this month - come join us over there and join the fun 🙂

Picks for the week of 9/1:
What If The Original Marvel Series Omnibus Volume 1 (Marvel)
Taarna: Elements one-shot (Heavy Metal)

Shoutouts:
Please do what you can for not only local comic shops, but also your favorite creators online - many of them have online shops or Patreons or Kickstarter stuff - obviously take care of you and yours first, but if you can afford to buy something, every little bit helps
Pop Goes The Culture podcast network - go check them out! 🙂
#PodernFamily - an awesome group of indie podcasters supporting each other; find a podcast on literally anything by searching the hashtag
Manny the Martyr - thanks for letting us use your music; check them out by clicking the link

The Fellowship is pleased to present our conversation with comics writer David Pepose. His new Kickstarter campaign is live, and it's kicking butt (in more ways than one). He's always down for chatting about story building, the world of comics, and his writing assistant Ruby. Plus our usual tangents galore and our comics picks of the week.

Check out David on social media: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram
He also has a website
And obviously go check out the Kickstarter campaign - it's already funded🙂

The Fellowship is pleased to present a new Casting Call, this time for an Indiana Jones film serial based in 1939 (or thereabouts). It's pretty much what the films were based on anyway, right? And it's our oldest casting call yet, so finding actors turned out to be a fun challenge. Plus our usual tangents galore and our comics picks of the week.
