The Fellowship is pleased to present our last episode of the year. This time we're playing a game called Weird Things Humans Search For, which is based on actual search engine data, and shows an interesting picture of what people want to know, to say the least 🙂 (so this one might sound a little more "edited" than normal). Plus our usual tangents galore and our comics picks of the week.

Announcements:
We found a way to do our monthly meetups - on Discord! Come hang out with us in the voice channel on the 3rd Saturday of the month; details on Facebook & Twitter & the Events tab on our website
We're super excited to announce our partnership with ComicBooks For Kids. Details on the website (and you should be listening to hear more, too 🙂)

What we're up to this week:
Getting ready for the holidays, rabbit hole involving Goofy's wife, also the Donald Duck pants theory, watched some stuff but nothing worth recommending, getting started on "research", A Christmas Horror Story (wow), tangent on George Buza (didn't recognize the name, but he's been in a ton of stuff), Better Watch Out (2016 movie), Jean-Claude Van Johnson (2017 Amazon series), Discord meetup and plug, working on podcast stuff, a very nice Bee Gees documentary

Check out our sponsor page! Head to the website and click on the banners for Things From Another World! (Click through the TFAW banner on our site and we get a cut. Thank you!)

We added our picks to the website as their own page! It's an easy reference for you to find some cool stuff to read (especially in social distancing mode). So go check it out, and hit the site as you need or want 🙂

And we're doing a Christmas trivia event on Discord this month - come join us over there and join the fun 🙂

Thanks to some funny timing, this is a fifth week and the end of the year, so instead of doing weekly picks, we posted our overall picks of the year on the website for your enjoyment! Click this link to check them out!

Also, I mentioned in passing a Coasters song at one point, and it kind of took over the conversation while we were recording (mostly when we were in breaks and whatnot). But in the interest of raising awareness of the Coasters (who were awesome), here's a link to the song. Enjoy 🙂

Shoutouts:
Please do what you can for not only local comic shops, but also your favorite creators online - many of them have online shops or Patreons or Kickstarter stuff - obviously take care of you and yours first, but if you can afford to buy something, every little bit helps

#PodernFamily - an awesome group of indie podcasters supporting each other; find a podcast on literally anything by searching the hashtag
Manny the Martyr - thanks for letting us use your music; check them out by clicking the link

The Fellowship regrets to announce that we do not have a new episode for you this week. 2020 is not quite finished with us yet, and circumstances didn't allow us to do our thing this week. We'll be back next week with more of our usual silly behavior. If you have a moment, though, check out our website and our weekly picks, and maybe grab a rerun episode to listen to. And if we don't say it enough, thank you for listening and hanging out with us 🙂

The Fellowship is pleased to present our discussion of the 1965 animated short A Charlie Brown Christmas. It's that time of year, gang, and we've got plenty of lockdown time to watch some holiday classics. And this one is a particular favorite of ours, though we have some opinions about some of the others. Plus our usual tangents galore and our comics picks of the week.

What we're up to this week:
Supernatural rant with spoilers (I was very optimistic - you'll want to skip to about 16:15 to avoid them), watched Murder By Death on Discord, Classic Albums episodes on The Wailers' Catch a Fire and Sex Pistols' Never Mind The Bollocks Here's the Sex Pistols, The Coed and the Zombie Stoner, The Best of Sex & Violence or Reel Exposure depending on where you find it (the other movie Les & Liz are talking about is Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death from 1989), Taking Shape II: The Lost Halloween Sequels (The Killer Inside Me was written by Jim Thompson in 1952 - there was a really good comics adaptation a few years ago)

The Fellowship is pleased to present our latest Casting Call episode, this time for an Avengers film in 1967. This is a very different team than the one in the recent film franchise, and that might just send us off in some wildly varied directions. And since this is set decades ago, you may need our old friend Google to figure out who the heck we're picking in some cases 🙂. Plus our usual tangents galore and our comics picks of the week.

The Fellowship is pleased to present our discussion of GoldenEye (1995), the first 007 movie that starred Pierce Brosnan. Brosnan's four-film run as Bond had a lot of highlights (and some significant lowlights), but that's not unusual for such a long-running series. We discuss the history of 007, the diversity of actors who played the role, the role of story in action films, and a bunch of stuff in between. Plus our usual tangents galore and our comics picks of the week.

The Fellowship is pleased to present our discussion of two films by the Marx Brothers, Animal Crackers (1930) and A Night at the Opera (1935). Week 4 brings us two non-Hammer movies, I, Monster (1971) and Nothing But The Night (1973). We discuss things that make movies hard to watch, high-profile cameo roles, more background than the filmmakers ever cared about, and a bunch of stuff in between. Plus our usual tangents galore and our comics picks of the week.

We're super excited to announce our partnership with ComicBooks For Kids. Details on the website (and you should be listening to hear more, too 🙂)

What we're up to this week:
Same-old same-old, The Houses That October Built, a low-key week, teasing a new DC rant, ILM on the new Batman film, so many cool podcasts from #AllTheHorror, also insomnia, annual rereads of The Halloween Tree and Something Wicked This Way Comes, another subtle plug for ATH (involving Something Wicked), working on background show stuff, more Vaughn.Live stuff - Monty Python and the Addams Family, Ted Cassidy praise, black & white TV discussion 🙂, also You Can't Do That On Television, and our Discord trivia contest on the 13th - congrats to Big Dog!

And here's the link to The Horror Academic's YouTube interview with Joe Ripple from Scares That Care

I think Tom and Les are talking about The Alligator People (1959)

Pop Goes The Culture podcast network - go check them out! 🙂
#PodernFamily - an awesome group of indie podcasters supporting each other; find a podcast on literally anything by searching the hashtag
Manny the Martyr - thanks for letting us use your music; check them out by clicking the link
